Jediism, which originated in 2001 CE as an internet eMail campaign that urged people in the United Kingdom to specify "Jedi" as their religion in their country's statistical census polls, is a religion that is loosely based on the famous Star Wars story by George Lucas, but with certain key variations that accomodate anyone who wishes to follow it.

Deities:   Supernatural agents:   Beliefs:   Traditions:
  • Yoda
  • Deities from other religions are also acceptable
  • The Force
  • Tolerance is divine
  • Dress code of dark brown hooded robes

Jedi Customs include the practice of rituals that make it possible for followers to progress throught the ranks, which start from Apprentice and end with Jedi Master.

The Order of the Jedi
There is no Emotion; there is only Peace.
There is no Ignorance; there is only Knowledge.
There is no Passion; there is only Serenity.
There is no Chaos; there is only Harmony.
There is no Death; there is only The Force.
This is the way of the Jedi.
