Glossary - Neo-liberalism Neo-liberalism was introduced in the 1960s as a set of ecnomic policies that have a diminishing effect on the middle class by effectively dividing society into polarized camps of rich and poor. Since the majority of taxes are paid by middle class members of society, neo-liberalism is a self-destructive political philosophy because it essentially "bites off the hands that feed it" and then kicks the past owners of those hands out onto the cold and heartless streets to fend for themselves.
