Unificationism is a monotheistic religion that was founded in South Korea in 1954 CE by Sun Myung Moon, and has gained popularity throughout the world with its most prominent presence in East Asia.  The beliefs, which are loosely based on old and new testament variations of The Holy Bible, are clarified by the Unification Church's doctrine called "Divine Principle" (see "Publications").

  • God who is also a Goddess (living creator deity)
  • Lucifer (archangel spirit of illicit and forbidden love)
  • Jesus Christ (the Messiah)
  • Eschatology (the second coming of Jesus Christ) will occur in the near future (although a specific date does not appear to be known)
  • Abstinence and fidelity in marriage will prevent the sexual exploitation of children
  • Marriage re-dedication ceremony (for couples who are newly engaged or already married)
  • Abstinence
  • Family pledge (an eight-part promise dedicated primarily to God and "his kingdom")
