Glossary - Theism

Theism is the religious belief in the existence of deities and/or supernatural agents, particularly in the context of influencing or intervening in reality to sustain a personal relationship with, or maintain control over, the living.

In most forms of theism at least one deity is credited for the creation of the universe.  It is fairly common for theologies to emphasize exclusivity with with regard to rejecting deities from other religions.
