Glossary - Attachment Therapy

Attachment Therapy is a sadistic and non-therapeutic form of mental and physical child abuse that is incorrectly disguised under the misleading term "Reactive Attachment Disorder" as if it were a legitimate psychological treatment.  One of the more common beliefs held by attachment therapy practitioners and their advocates is that children must express rage to "be cured of anger and hostility out of their system."

Practitioners have been known to inappropriately restrain children for long durations with excessive and annoying touching, tickling, poking, etc., which have occasionally lead to serious injury or death.  Any resistence to attachment therapy treatments is callously misinterpreted as an indication that the intensity of the hands-on treatment needs to be increased, which only serves to further frustrate the helpless victim who desparately want it to stop.
